This Policy details Brasif’s practices regarding the collection, use, storage and sharing of personal data. Our mission is to ensure that all information is treated with maximum security and that the rights of data subjects are respected and facilitated. By reading this document, you will find precise information about the nature of the data we collect, the purposes for which it is used, the security measures implemented and the rights that you, as the data subject, can exercise.

1. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser data, to help detect spam.

An anonymized string of characters created from your email (also called a hash) may be sent to Brasif Máquinas to verify if you use the service. Brasif Máquinas’ privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible next to your comment.

2. Media

If you upload images to the site, avoid uploading those that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download these images from the site and extract their location data.

3. Cookies

When you leave a comment on the site, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies. This is for your convenience so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.

If you have an account and log in to this site, a temporary cookie will be created to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in to your account on the site, we also create several cookies to save your account data and your screen display choices. Login cookies are kept for two days and screen options cookies for one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will be maintained for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not include any personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article

4. Embedded media from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor were visiting the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

5. Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

6. For how long we keep your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. We do this so that you can automatically recognize and approve any subsequent comments instead of withholding them for moderation.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.

7. What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this website or if you have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You may also request that we remove any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

8. Where we send your data

Guest comments may be flagged by an automated spam detection service.
